Review one business month, with the sources in view

A useful review connects a balance to the records that explain it. Choose the company, currency context and cutoff before comparing results.

Start with the source records

Open the invoice and its linked receipts. Distinguish submitted records from drafts and cancellations. Retain the original evidence and check allocations rather than treating an invoice total as cash received.

Compare the same date

Use the same reporting period when checking the ledger, trial balance and financial reports. A current outstanding balance and a historical report answer different questions. Record the dates and scope used for each comparison.

Keep unresolved findings visible

Investigate differences and agree who owns the next action. A consistency check or saved signoff does not prove that every control or record is complete. Read the current control coverage before relying on a workflow.

The business-month illustration lets you inspect dates, sources and example entries independently. It uses fictional CAD amounts without taxes and does not sign off a real company period. For the supported workspaces, see the product directory.
